Review of Al Capriccio Restaurant in Corleone

We found the Al Capriccio restaurant by accident; we did not find a more or less decent restaurant for a 2-hour walk around Corleone, but we saw many pastries with traditional Sicilian sweets. We are very lucky, because this restaurant is open until noon, which is not often found in Italy. The interior of the restaurant is classic, the walls are decorated with photographs with views of Corleone and the surrounding area.

I was pleasantly surprised by the price of Coke at 2.8 euros and the volume, please pay attention, a liter glass bottle.

As the first quick snack, we chose Rustico antipasti for 6 euros.

Traditionally, all Italian restaurants serve bread. Often it is baked on the spot and in most cases very tasty, it turned out this time too.

As the main dish, I chose pasta with the much promising name Spaghetti alla Corleonese for 7 euros - still we are in Corleone.

Jana preferred Spaghetti alla Siciliana with cherry tomatoes and garlic. And all this for 4.5 euros. By the way, garlic in Sicily is very fond of and added to almost all dishes.

Corleone is a mountain city and we specifically did not order marine pasta series. It should be noted that a whole section is devoted to Italian pasta with seafood in the menu. The cuisine in the restaurant is not bad, but nothing impressive - simple homemade food.

It was decided to abandon the dessert in favor of some sensible pastry, since neither our beloved tiramisu nor panakota were on the menu. Limited only a cup of espresso.

The bill for our lunch was 28 euros. What is the average price for such a meal and for the South of Italy, perhaps a little overpriced.

The service in the restaurant is acceptable, we were served quite quickly at the beginning, bringing antipasti and water. But additional options such as coffee and the final bill had to wait a long time, despite the fact that the restaurant had only 6 people. At the peak of the season, we assume that the situation can only get worse.
